Aluminum Alloy Copper

IN AW 2011

Available formats: Bars.

Typical applications and uses:

EN AW 2011 is a copper alloy that typically contains between 4.0 and 5.0% copper, and is suitable for producing machine parts, bolts, and rivets.

It closely resembles an EN AW-2007, but is slightly softer. It is a short chip alloy, which is suitable for treatment, threads and high machining speeds and provides a shiny surface after treatment.

EN AW 2011 has a high resistance to metal fatigue. The alloy has lower corrosion resistance, and is not suitable for welding due to the high copper content. Possibly approved after ROHS.

Heat treatments:

Annealing: 350 ° C to 400 ° C for 2 to 3 hours. Slow cooling.
Solution: 510º C ± 5 ° C. Temper in cold water (max. 70 ° C)
Natural maturation: T4 state, 4 days minimum at 20 ° C.
Artificial maturation: T6 / T8 state, 14 hours at 160 ° C ± 5 ° C.
To obtain forgings: 400 ° C to 480 ° C.
