Aluminum Alloy Copper

IN AW 2017A

Available formats: Sheet metal, plates, bars, profiles and wires.

Typical applications and uses

EN AW 2017A aluminum alloy is among the high strength hardenable alloys. Consequently, a heat treatment such as annealing of the solution and subsequent natural aging is necessary so that this alloy can develop its full potential. This can increase strength by several crowds.

This alloy is used, due to its high strength and good workability, in the aerospace industry and in defense and aviation technology.

features

Annealing: 375 ° C to 410 ° C for 30 min. 2 hours Slow cooling
Putting into solution: 500º C ± 5 ° C.
Cold water quenching (40 ° C max.)
Natural Maturation: 4 days minimum at 20 ° C.
To obtain forged parts: 380 ° C to 480 ° C.
