Typical applications and uses

Aluminum Alloy Zinc EN AW 7075 is the alloy with the highest characteristics in aluminum. The development of this alloy has made its use possible in fields previously reserved for steels.

 

7075 zinc alloy aluminum, is applied in armament, automobile industry, screws, ski poles, fishing rods, arrows, blow molds, stamped parts for mountaineering, etc.

Heat treatments:

Put in solution: 465º C + - 5º C.
Tempering in cold water (40º C max)
Artificial ripening: State T6, from 12 to 16 hours at 135º C + - 3º C.
Annealing: 30 min. at 2 hours at 375º C - 410º C followed by slow cooling.
Forges 400º C to 450º C. Recommended 430º C.
