EN AW-6005A
Available formats: Bars, tubes and profiles.
The profiles extruded in aluminum alloy EN AW 6005 / EN AW 6005A are characterized by a medium mechanical resistance, even in welded joints, and a good corrosion resistance. They are suitable for use in manufacturing in general, in the engineering and construction sectors.
Typical fields of application are stairs, train and truck construction, marine constructions, exterior applications, etc.
Heat treatments:
The chemical composition of the alloy EN AW 6005 (A) is characterized by its Cr and Mn content, which exerts an anti-crystallizing effect in artificial aging processes.
The chemical composition and production processes adopted give this alloy the ability to easily acquire tempering.
Consequently, mechanical properties are achieved even in those parts of the profile that are not completely exposed to heat exchange.
