Aluminum Alloy Magnesium Silicon

EN AW-6026

Available formats: Calibrated and extruded bars.

Typical applications and uses

The aluminum alloy magnesium silicon EN AW 6026 replaces other alloys of the Aluminum-Silicon family whose applications are found in the textile industry, coils, machine parts, chemistry, flanges, bolts, screws, nuts, etc. and in the automotive, electric and electronic sector, forging, screws, bolts, nuts, threaded parts.

It is an alloy that has good machinability, high strength, anodizing and hard coating, is MIG / WIG weldable, has good corrosion resistance and is environmentally friendly.

Heat treatments:

This new EN AW-6026 alloy offers many advantages and is a further development than the EN AW-6012 alloy.

It has a lead content of less than 0.4% so that the alloy complies with all EU regulations, such as RoHS (2002/95 / EC) and ELV (2000/53 / EC).
