Typical applications and uses

The Aluminum Alloy Magnesium Silicon EN AW 6082 is ideal for molds of the footwear industry, blown plastic bottles, thermoforming, rubber industry, molds and dies for the industry in general.

 

Models for casting and plates. Of general use for the construction of industrial machinery, armament and armor. In automotive for industrial vehicles. It is used to make templates.

Heat treatments:

Put in solution: 535 ° C of 30 min. 2 hours
Tempering in cold water (40 ° C max.) As fast as possible.
Maturation: State T4, 8 days minimum at 20 ° C.
Artificial maturation: T6 state, 16 hours at 165 ° C or 8 hours at 175 ° C.
Annealing: 30 min. at 2 hours at 380 ° C - 420 ° C, followed by slow cooling.
Hot work: from 300 ° C to 490 ° C.
