IN AW-7020
Available formats: Plates, bars, tubes and profiles.
EN AW 7020 aluminum alloy is an invalid alloy for extrusion of complex sections. In laminated products, it has limitations when it comes to cold bending and adequate post-weld measures must be taken to avoid cracking and exfoliation due to stress corrosion cracking.
Its main application is welded structures of all kinds. EN AW 7020 aluminum alloy is a heat treatable aluminum alloy with zinc added as the main alloying element. This improves the mechanical property attributes of the material and increases its resistance to fatigue stress.
Heat treatments:
Profiles and tubes for welded structures and support structures, welded structures that require high tensile strength. Cures independently after fusion welding.
EN AW 7020 alloy is mainly used in aerospace applications and offers reasonable machinability. As a result, the surface finish allows the material to be protective anodized, but does not lend itself to aesthetic anodizing.
EN AW 7020 aluminum alloy forming and machining is good. Soldering, aesthetic anodizing, and brazing are not adequate; however, protective anodizing can be performed if necessary.
