High resistance brass
Available formats: Bars, Plates and Dollas.
CC762S brass is a cast brass. The properties mentioned are appropriate for the manufacturing condition (without quenching or treatment). CC762S is the EN numerical designation for this material. CuZn25AI5Mn4Fe3-C is the chemical designation EN.
It has the highest tensile strength among cast brass. Furthermore, it has quite low ductility and quite high built-in energy.
CC762S brass is a high tensile strength fully beta brass with higher mechanical properties than HTB1. The alloy complies with the requirements of BS1400 HTB3 CuZn28Al5FeMn and the European standard BS EN 1982-2008 CC762S CuZn25Al5Mn4Fe3-C. The alloy has high strength with excellent wear and abrasion resistance and can be used under high loads.
Heat treatments:
SAE430B brass is a multi-material alloy with a high content of manganese and aluminum. It is a construction material with a very high static load capacity, particularly a high elastic limit and tensile strength. Not suitable for dynamic loads and vibrations.
Can be used up to max. 150 ° C.
It is used for structural parts with very heavy static loads, for bearings with very low sliding speeds and very high loads, such as axial bearing rings and bridge bearings, internal parts and spindles for heavy-duty high-pressure accessories, rotating blocks in laminators, pressure covers for block cutters and slabs.
It is an ideal alloy for helical rims with maximum load and low slip speeds (vmax 4 m / s with low duty cycle). Its machinability is moderately difficult to machine and difficult to weld.
