B7 | Bronze Copper Alloy Tin Lead

B7 is a tin lead bronze also known as red bronze or leaded gunmetal.
The lead content in tin bronze alloys with a high lead content is between 7.00% and 15.00%. These alloys are free cut and retain a favorable thermal conductivity and good lubrication due to the lead content. The C93200 alloy, also called C932, SAE 660, is considered a family workhorse alloy and is widely used in many bearing applications.
The closest international standards are ASTM B505 C93200 and RG7 DIN 1705.
It has a good relationship between resistance and elongation. It is a semi-hard material resistant to wear, corrosion and sea water. General use.
Applications
CuSnPb alloys are characterized by their excellent anti-friction quality, high pressure resistance, corrosion, vibration and shock. They are recommended when lubrication is poor.
Typical applications: Bushings and Bearings with high loads, Presses and mechanical shovels, Connecting Rod Bushings, Pumps, Motors, Automotive and Railway Ind.
