Iron
Round, square, rectangular and tube profiles.
In Broncesval we offer iron in various forms such as round, square, rectangular profiles and tubes. Some of the products we sell are continuous casting irons. To perform a horizontal wash, it is necessary to contain four main units: a maintenance furnace with liquid-cooled dies, a traction unit, a notch and breakage device and a control panel that regulates the flow of refrigerant and the speed of emptying, and coordinates the function of the other three components of the machine.
A liquid-cooled matrix is constructed in the closed system, so that the liquid metal enters the matrix without coming into contact with the atmosphere. Because the bar is pulled horizontally, the metal flows more evenly and is always subject to much higher ferrostatic pressure than in sand foundries. This, combined with a rapid cooling in the matrix, guarantees superior solidity, a good surface finish and a homogeneous structure, as well as excellent structural cohesion throughout the section.
As a result, the outer edge is solid at the moment it leaves the matrix, while the core remains liquid. Due to the rapid cooling, the periphery has a very fine graphite in a predominant ferritic matrix with a high cohesion of the material, much higher than that obtained with sand emptying.
Degrees and structures
GG-20 | EN 16482: 2014 | IN GJL-200C
GG-20 is the degree of lowest hardness of qualities. This material offers exceptional machinability and excellent surface finish, but with limited wear resistance and resilience. Noise, vibration damping and thermal conductivity are excellent in this degree. Complies with EN 16482: 2014 | IN GJL-200C.
GG-30 | EN 16482: 2014 | IN GJL-300C
Higher hardness quality (200-250 HB) with totally perlitic structure giving excellent wear resistance. Adequate response to surface hardening better than GG-25, while still having good machinability. Its finish is superior to other qualities due to its greater structural cohesion.
GGG-50/7 | EN 16482: 2014 | IN GJS-500-7C
Its Perlithic-ferritic structure and superior hardness (170-225 HB) to the GGG-40 give it greater resistance to wear and a better response to heat treatment, while maintaining good machinability and excellent surface finish. It absorbs noise and vibration dampers well.
GGG-60/3 | EN 16482: 2014 | IN GJS-600-3C
Higher hardness quality (210-260 HB) with mostly Perlitic structure, offers reasonable machinability and excellent surface finish combined with an increase in tensile strength and high wear resistance. Adequate response to surface hardening better than GGG-50. It absorbs noise and vibrations well.
GG-25 | EN 16482: 2014 | IN GJL-250C
Medium hard quality (170-225 HB) advisable for applications where a good combination of strength and wear resistance is required while still having good machinability and excellent surface finish. Due to the graphite structure it has, the noise and vibration absorption along with the thermal conductivity are excellent.
GGG-40/15 | EN 16482: 2014 | IN GJS-400-15C
Its structure is ferritic with low hardness (190 HB max.) Good machinability and surface finish Offers good electrical conductivity and good magnetic permeability. Good noise absorption and vibration damping, this quality offers a high percentage of elongation. Obtained by fermentation annealing of GGG-50 quality
GGG-50/40 | EN 16482 IN GJS-500-7C and EN GJS-400-15C
GGG-50/40, offers greater wear resistance, tensile strength and improves elongation compared to the 500-7 standard, while still having good machinability and excellent surface finish. It absorbs noise and damping well. Meets the requirements specified in Standard EN-16482: 2014 | IN GJS-500-7C and with EN GJS-400-15C, reducing the necessary stocks.
GGG-70/2 | EN 16482: 2014 | IN GJS-700-2C
GGG-70 is a type of ductile cast iron material with high tensile strength (SG cast iron, nodular cast iron). It has a relatively high tensile strength and good abrasion resistance. Therefore, this quality of cast iron is suitable for producing mechanical parts with high performance.
