EN 16482: 2014 | IN GJL-500-7C

GGG-50/40

Available formats: Sheet metal, plates, bars, profiles and wires.

features

GGG-50/40, offers greater wear resistance, tensile strength and improves elongation compared to the 500-7 standard, while still having good machinability and excellent surface finish. It absorbs noise and damping well. Meets the requirements specified in Standard EN-16482: 2014 | IN GJS-500-7C and with EN GJS-400-15C, reducing the necessary stocks.

Brinell hardness

170-210 HB with 10 mm diameter ball and 3000Kg load. depending on the size of the section. Hardness readings are taken throughout the entire section of the bar. The hardness values for rectangles depend on the relationship between height and width and can be supplied upon request.

Micro structure

It contains nodular (spheroidal) graphite type V & VI according to ISO 945. The periphery contains approximately 200/250 nodules / mm2 and is predominantly ferritic, with a nucleus containing 90/150 nodules / mm2. The core matrix is ferritic / perlitic mixture (10-50% perlite). Cold carbides will be less than 5 %, well dispersed.
