HOMOPOLIMERO POLYACETAL | Polyoxymethylene

DELRIN | POM H

Available formats: Bars, Tubes, and Plates

features

Delrin H (POM-H) is a homopolymer acetal that has exceptional slip properties and good wear resistance. Compared to POM-C, POM-H has a slightly higher density, hardness and strength due to its greater crystallinity.

In addition, POM-H offers good electrical insulation and exceptional machining characteristics, which makes Delrin H acetal one of the most versatile engineering materials currently available.

Applications

When comparing Delrin C and Delrin H, the Delrin or POM-H homopolymer combines greater fatigue and creep resistance with greater overall strength and greater tensile strength and stiffness, allowing for a thinner part design and light, and the potential for lower cost of production of parts.

A fundamental characteristic of DELRIN H is its resistance, it is a rigid, firm and hard material, it has good sliding and friction properties and very good electrical insulation. Other properties include:

  • high mechanical strength
  • good tribological properties
  • electrical insulator
  • hard to paste
  • good chemical resistance
  • good machinability
  • easy to polish
  • not resistant to hot water above 60ºC

It is used in the following industries:

  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Food Industry
  • electronics
  • Aeronautical and aerospace technology
  • Automotive
